Pay-One-Price Admission and Weather Policy
The Eastern Michigan State Fair operates as a Pay-One-Price Fair. The price of admission includes:- General admission to the fairgrounds
- Unlimited mechanical amusement rides
- Fair entertainment and attractions
- Admission to scheduled grandstand events
- Access to all public areas of the fairgrounds
Refund and Rain-Check Policy
All admission sales are final. The Eastern Michigan State Fair does not issue refunds, exchanges, or rain checks due to weather conditions, ride availability, entertainment changes, early departure, or any other circumstance beyond the Fair’s control.The Fair remains open during rain and other ordinary weather conditions. Mechanical rides, entertainment, and individual attractions may be temporarily delayed, suspended, modified, or closed when conditions affect the safety of guests, participants, employees, or equipment.
Grandstand Weather Policy
The Eastern Michigan State Fair does not cancel grandstand events solely because of rain.A grandstand event may be temporarily suspended when lightning is detected in the immediate proximity of the fairgrounds or when Fair management determines that conditions present an immediate safety concern. The event will resume as soon as the lightning has moved away and conditions are determined to be safe.
Temporary weather delays, shortened programs, schedule changes, or the inability to resume an event do not qualify guests for a refund or rain check.
