Camping registration will be done in FairEntry this year:
Parents or adults can create an additional exhibitor account for themselves to enter. Camping is on the bottom of the department list. Then you select the size of camper and pay within FairEntry.
Camping Rules and Regulations
All camping must be payable to: EASTERN MICHIGAN STATE FAIR through FairEntry before setup.
Primitive campsites only. No electricity or water hook-ups.
The camping fee includes one adult week pass.
Campers must show a valid fair pass (i.e., wristband, week pass) with ID to enter the fair.
Only registered campers or fair participants authorized by fair management may enter campgrounds.
No camping permits will be issued after lots are filled.
No one will take up more space than allowed for each lot.
If there are minors residing on a campsite, there must be at least one parent or legal guardian in attendance on the campsite.
No fires will be allowed in the camping area.
Curfew, all children, and registered participants in the fair must be at their campsite by 12:00 midnight unless accompanied by a parent.
Please keep your area clean from litter.
A dump station for waste is available at the conclusion of the fair.
The Campground Director oversees lot assignments.
Campers will be accepted: Friday, per-fair, 11:00am until 5:00pm. / Saturday, per-fair, 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Campers will report to the Campground Director for placing.
No Dogs in campground area or on fairground.
Generators must be turned off at midnight.
Only Registered campers in campground after 11pm.
Smoking is prohibited on the fairgrounds, except for designated areas. Smoking will be allowed at individual campsites.
Hold Harmless/Indemnification: The person that contracted for the camping sight shall be solely responsible for any and all injuries to persons or damages of property or any other injury, claim, damage or loss of whatever nature, arising directly or indirectly from the "contracted camping." The contracted camper shall INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS The Lapeer County Agricultural Society and its employees, agents, and volunteers from and against all liability, loss, damages, claims, costs, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of injury to person or damages to property or any other injury, claim, damage, loss, cost or expense arising from the "project."
Underage drinking or providing alcohol to minors will not be tolerated at the Eastern Michigan State Fair.
If underage Drinking is suspected at any campsite or any adult is suspected of providing alcohol to a minor.
The Imlay City Police Department or Lapeer County Sheriff's Office will be contacted, and they will investigate the matter.
The EMSF will not give any warning or investigate these matters. The police will be prosecuting any person that is found to be allowing or providing alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.
